> Prior to 1984:
Discovery Church was then a traditional denominational church located on Oak Ridge Road in Orlando, Florida. Pastor David Loveless moved from Vancouver, Canada to become the Senior Pastor.

> 1991:
Discovery Church was launched. We transitioned from a denominational to a non-denominational church model and the name changed to Discovery Church.

> 1991-1997:
Searched for our unique style between evangelism and authentic worship which would unlock the hearts and lives of unchurched people and at the same time challenge believers. Moved to the South Orange Avenue location.

> 1997-2004: The Growth Era
With a solidified mission and vision, attendance growth expanded, averaging 37% per year for more than 7 years, and life change started taking place in unprecedented ways.

> 2005-Present: Multi-campus Expansion
Discovery Church now has a weekly attendance of more than 4,000 people at our weekend services, STATUS 20s services and the Element Middle School and High School student services. Seeing a need to grow and having no more available ‘seats or spaces’ on our Orange Avenue Campus, the church launched it’s first off-site venue, Discovery Church Southwest at Olympia High School in March of 2005. March of 2007 held a new adventure as we launched Discovery Church East held at Discovery Middle School behind Waterford Lakes.

Discovery Southwest and Discovery East have allowed us to reach people at new heights. Both campuses offer a complete Discovery experience including live worship; ministries for kids, students and young adults; adult Connection Groups and life changing teaching through multi-screen projection.

Discovery's journey continues as we search for ways to impact the greater Orlando community and beyond.
